Artist Statement

I am a dreamer. My paintings are reflections of imaginary worlds in my mind. They are abstract landscapes which do not represent any particular place, but they exist only in my imagination. I find inspiration from everything I see and feel. During the day, I sit quietly and visualize imaginary landscapes filled with colors to which I am attracted. The visualization continues in my dreams. Some of my paintings are inspired by images I see as I sleep. When I pick up my brush, I incorporate my emotions and meld memories with dreams to create a dreamlike endless space on canvas. - I define my paintings as fantasy landscapes.

I am fascinated by the neuroscience of colors: how colors influence our feelings and how they look different depending on the placement of colors. Combinations of different colors formulate different moods and influence my feelings as I create a new painting. As you can see, colors play an essential role in my artwork.

Sometimes, I may be a little shy, however, as I paint, I can express my feelings unencumbered. For me, my canvas is a playground where I can truly be myself, like a child, freely playing with colors, various shapes, lines, and brushstrokes. This is my voice. Not only is it a reflection of my dream world, it is a silent means of communication within myself and with my viewers. This is why I cannot stop creating art. My paintings are my fantasy worlds where I can relax and discover my true identity. These are the places where I desire to be.
